In every community you'll find opportunities for sharing your knowledge of adventure-based learning and debriefing skills with groups. Your local library, after school programs, summer and day camps, church groups, social clubs and professional organizations are all possible audiences for practicing your skills, and trying out some of those newer facilitation activities. Before I started Training Wheels, I would create my own debriefing tools by printing out pictures that I wanted to laminate. I contacted a local school and offered to do a 1-2 hour program for a teacher in-service day in exchange for 1-2 hours of laminating. They walked away with good tools and resources to use in their classroom, I walked away with loads of new tools just waiting for me to cut out and use with my groups. I also added something new to my resume. A win-win!
