It is a great way for youth to put their feelings out there and makes it a lot easier to share their feelings and emotions that they are currently having. I ALWAYS have the mood dudes close at hand. I think they are the most valuable tool in my bag of tricks. I think one rule whenever you are using them is to make sure the group knows that they are allowed to pick as many of the faces as they want to express a feeling they are having. It is really common for a camper to pick 3-4 faces and explain feelings that relate to all of them. A couple of our campers this week even used Arts and crafts time to draw pictures of the mood dudes and explain in more depth how much they loved camp!"
