About the Author, Mark Collard
Product Description
Mark grew up in Melbourne Australia, the eldest of three children. He earned his Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree, before heading to New York to study for his MBA--his eyes firmly set on the 'tie and collar' world.
Then, having led programs with youth groups and summer camps in both Australia and the United States for many years, Mark's eyes were properly opened in 1989 when he attended his first Project Adventure workshop lead by Karl Rohnke. Things haven't been the same since.
Mark joined Project Adventure Australia in 1990, and was employed full-time by the organization for ten years during which he was the principal manager, on eof only two Certified Trainers in Australia, training coodinator, sometimes Challenge Course builder, and overall office dog's body.
Leaving PAA's full-tim employ in 1999, Mark has continued to work free-lance for the Project, mostly worldwide, particularly in the United States and Southeast Asia. He chooses now to pursue his long-held dram to be an actor and voice professional, and is working toward his first Oscar!! You can check his progress at his web site www.mark-collard.com.
Mark has been struck by lightning twice, can't back up a car towing a trailer to save himself, adn has camped on teh lawns of Australia's Parliament House for three days (as part of a logging protest.) Mark lives in a mud-brick home in Melbourne's outer east, and counts his time with Project Adventure as sme of the "funnest" times of his life.
